Research and commitments
What we measure, and who we've committed to.
MPowerMe is built on validated clinical instruments and industry-standard interoperability formats. We do not claim certifications we have not earned, and we will update this page as our certifications are issued.
Clinical instruments
In use today
PHQ-9 and GAD-7
We use the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) for depression and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7) for anxiety — the same validated instruments clinicians use in-office. Baseline and ongoing scores are tracked with your consent and exportable at any time.
Data portability
In use today
FHIR JSON and PDF export
Your records export as FHIR R4 JSON — a machine-readable format that other providers, apps, and EHRs can read — or as a human-readable PDF. Two taps to export. Nothing is locked inside our app.
Certification
In use today

DiMe seal
We are certified by the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) seal program, which evaluates digital health products against published quality and transparency criteria.
Industry code
Committed
CARIN Code of Conduct
We have committed to the CARIN Alliance Code of Conduct for consumer health apps, which sets standards for data privacy, user transparency, and meaningful consent.
Privacy and security
In place
HIPAA covered entity
Bethany R. Russell, Ph.D. & Associates, P.A. is a covered entity under HIPAA. Your records are encrypted at rest and in transit, access-controlled, and never sold or shared with data brokers.
Identity verification
In use today
ID.me (IAL2) and Google OAuth
We verify identity once using IAL2-compliant providers — either ID.me or Google. No passwords. No portals. No password-reset loops.
